上士幌町は日本の国立公園で最も大きい大雪山国立公園の東山麓にあり、
十勝地方の北端に位置します。
北海道の国道でいちばん標高が高い「三国峠」や日本の公共牧場でいちばん面積が広い
「ナイタイ高原牧場」など、雄大な景色が広がります。
「ぬかびら源泉郷」は美肌の湯と呼ばれ、源泉かけ流しの湯を堪能でき、
「旧国鉄士幌線コンクリートアーチ橋梁群」や「ひがし大雪自然館」など
アクティビティも楽しめる町です。

Kamishihoro is located in the north of the Tokachi plain, at the eastern foot of the Daisetsuzan National Park. The town abounds with majestic scenery, from the Naitai Highland Farm, the largest public farm in Japan, to the views at Mikuni Pass, the highest point on a national road in all of Hokkaido. It is also the home of the Nukabira Gensenkyo, an onsen district where both lodging and day trip guests can enjoy spring waters that flow directly from the source. Visitors can also enjoy a number of nature tours and activities, such as a hike towards the famous Taushubetsu bridge in Lake Nukabira.
